Last Sunday, 26th February,2017. we enjoyed our cultural evening, this time combined with the Carnival Feast. This took place just few days before we began the Lenten period.
Brother Venancio and Father Yago presented to us their Basque culture. Culture, politics, sports, tourism, religion, and gastronomy, were some of the highlights of their inspiring presentation. Brother Venancio played the "aurresku" with a flute. He also sang for us a traditional song called "from Santurce to Bilbao". He did so accompanying a video composed by his brother.
The second part of our evening was taken by the Carnival Feast. This was our first time to enjoy this feast at Lavigerie Formation House. Each one was invited to dress in an informal and funny way. We were surprised by the creativity of many. We really enjoyed our being together and the election of our Mister Carnival 2017, the chosen one was the great "Petit" :)
