The PCJ Closing Day

We, the PCJ community, were delighted upon completing the Academic year 2014/2015. Simply, it was a successful learning period and a remarkable scholarly achievement for the 3rd year students. It’s on the closing day, the 8th of June 2015 that we summed up all this joy of successful conclusion of the academic year with prayer, social interaction and sharing a meal.

Charles Wamika, the Bishop of Jinja Diocese, celebrated the Eucharist in his inspirational sharing he remarked that completing this academic struggle is a step to be of support to the entire community so let us find ways on how we are to be of value to the people beyond our demarcated boundaries with the aid of the knowledge acquired in the 3 years of study and formation. He also mentioned that wisdom is beyond philosophy and all the academic study we acquire in lectures but reach to practical works such as cooking (words not direct quotes).

After the mass, the new dazzling PCJ chapel was blessed and commissioned for the spiritual nourishment of the students and the PCJ staff. This day as well pointed out the support we offer and should always offer to one another so as to share our heartfelt joy. The aspect of support was depicted by the PCJ staff both the teaching and support, for their tireless contribution to our human and spiritual formation. The 1st year students marvelously animated the liturgy and the 2nd years bid their jovial farewell to the 3rd students.

Sincere acknowledgment and gratitude also to the relatives and friends of the PCJ community who embraced the day’s invitation with a spirit of sacrifice and love. Thanks to all for the support granted in all capacities. “May the Lord bless you from Zion; may you see Jerusalem’s prosperity all the days of your life and live to see your children’s children. Peace upon Israel (You)…..Psalms 128: 5-6.
